I’ve never met anyone as kind-hearted, understanding, loving, and compassionate as Jessica. I approached her during orientation day in college, and we’ve been best friends ever since. She’s my soulmate - understands me better than I understand myself sometimes, and knows exactly what wisdom to share when I’m having a hard time. As we grew closer, I knew God put her in my life for a very good reason. Life wouldn’t be the same if she wasn’t in it, and we know there’s nothing our friendship wouldn’t survive.
Puja and I met in 5th grade, and were school best friends. We share a strong bond and friendship that’s genuinely hard to describe in words. Our friendship has grown and matured over 19 years. No one has seen my life so up close, and stuck by my side through the highs and lows other than her. Her presence in my life has been a constant source of strength and joy. She’s kind, gracious, loyal, and full of love. She's been there through every milestone, from our earliest memories to this momentous occasion. She embodies the true essence of friendship, and I am beyond grateful to have her by my side.
Mehek and I were introduced initially through our parents as kids, went to the same school, and even took a cruise to Mexico together with our families. But we never really explored our friendship while growing up. Our dynamic shifted from being ‘family friends’ to ‘I love this girl so much’ the day I bumped into her at the CSUN library while in college. We’ve only grown closer and closer since. Mehek is my biggest cheerleader, my confidant, the coolest person I know, and someone who I can be my absolute self with no judgment. We have seen each other grow as young adults, and every step of the way she has offered unwavering support, genuine love, positivity, and encouragement throughout my journey.
I met Tramy through Jessica in college, and over the years, we've cultivated a truly beautiful and genuine friendship. Tramy has been a constant pillar of support, celebrating my highs and offering a comforting shoulder during my lows. What I admire most about Tramy is her honesty and ability to keep it real. She's not afraid to tell it like it is, even when the truth may be difficult to hear. I am incredibly grateful to have her by my side as a bridesmaid, knowing that she will always keep me grounded and uplifted.
I lovingly call her “Pushpa” because of my love for Hindi cinema and as a nod to the bond we share. Poshali and I are ‘chaddi buddies’ (aka childhood friends), and I’ve known her my whole life. We grew up in two different countries but whenever we would meet, it felt like we were never apart. Our memories together are nothing short of laughter, fun, and unforgettable adventures. From our spontaneous road trips to Santa Barbara to late-nights in Goa, Poshali has been my partner-in-crime through it all. I’ve always cherished her as my sister from another mister.
Meet Arash Aulakh, my best friend and confidant since 2015. We first crossed paths on the very first day of grad school and instantly clicked, setting the stage for a friendship that’s been a cornerstone of my life. Our daily conversations range from the deeply philosophical to the delightfully absurd, and not a day goes by without his support and laughter. Having him as my Best Man on my wedding day is both an honor and a joy.
Introducing Gopal Amin, a cherished friend since our undergrad days. Our bond was cemented between freshman and sophomore year, living together at his place and jamming out to "Ridin' Solo" by Jason Derulo. We've weathered countless ups and downs together, always emerging stronger. Gopal is a source of endless fun and support, and rumor has it, rubbing his belly brings good luck! I’m excited to celebrate this milestone with him by my side on my wedding day.
Introducing Corey Cavannaugh, my friend since the third day of undergrad. We've built countless memories through our undergrad experiences especially the pranks, intramural/21 at the rec center, and late night food endeavors. Our paths recently crossed again in California, rekindling our lifelong friendship. It’s a pleasure to share this life event with him on my wedding day.
Meet Dan Cook, a friend forged in the trenches of our fellowship at Beaumont Health in Michigan. We bonded over the challenges and triumphs of that time and have kept our connection alive through virtual happy hours and trips between California and Michigan. Our shared "fellowship trauma" and love for workplace gossip have only strengthened our friendship. Dan’s company is always a joy, and I’m excited to have his humor and support on my wedding day.
Introducing Cam Dickson, who I had the pleasure of meeting in California back in 2019 when he was my neighbor. Our first hangout was a night out and the rest is history. Our bond only deepened through various life experiences, and I even had the honor of officiating his wedding. He doesn’t know it but I only keep him around for his Australian accent and sense of humor. Cam’s friendship is truly treasured, and he will only make my special day more special.
Meet Tahsin Faruque, a friend I got close to during our undergrad days with an unforgettable first encounter (that you should definitely ask him about). We've always stayed connected and close, even after I pulled off one of the greatest pranks of all time on him, and our bond has only strengthened since he moved to the West Coast. Tahsin’s support and friendship are invaluable, and I’m delighted to have him by my side on my big day.
Introducing David Jackson, who I first met as the rival team captain during a grad school case competition, but we very quickly became friends. Our friendship deepened during our fellowship in Michigan, where we shared countless experiences ranging from board game nights to professional events. David is a trusted voice and a constant source of good times. I'm honored to have him by my side on my special day, knowing he'll bring his unique charm and unwavering support.
Meet Amit Patel, who I first met in undergrad and initially thought was a bit obnoxious. Over the years though, he's proven to be one of my closest friends. Amit is a constant source of innovation and logic, though his inventive strategies in Dota and League of Legends can sometimes be a bit much. Despite it all, his friendship is invaluable, and I couldn’t be happier to have him in the wedding party on my wedding day.
Introducing Dhruv Patel, a friend I got close to during our sophomore year of undergrad. Together, we've navigated many highs and lows, emerging stronger from each experience. Dhruv has consistently been by my side, offering unwavering support and trustworthy advice. His presence is a true blessing, and I’m blessed to have him by my side on my big day.
Meet Neal Rajyaguru, a friend from undergrad who became particularly close through our film class. We made it a weekly tradition to bring snacks (Milano cookies, of course) to watch movies and had last minute study sessions, creating countless memories. Despite the physical distance between us, our catch-up calls always stretch for hours, proving that true friendship knows no bounds. I’m thrilled to have him bring his warmth and support to my wedding day.
Introducing Andre Rodriguez, one of my closest friends whom I met in grad school. From the moment we met, we hit it off and have only grown closer over time, despite Arash and me regularly beating him in tennis and weekly arguments on who is the GOAT. We also share a deep love for Marvel and Star Wars, and can chat about any and everything for hours. Andre’s friendship is a true gem, and I’m thrilled that he will be by my side celebrating with me on the wedding day.
Meet Sean Wilhite, my oldest friend among the groomsmen, whom I first met in high school. From unforgettable bonfires to deep scotch and whiskey conversations, we've made countless memories together. Over the years, we've watched each other grow and change, and I always know I can count on Sean for a brutally honest opinion. His enduring friendship is something I cherish deeply, and I’m honored he’ll be with me on my wedding day.
